We visited La Herradura after a few days in Madrid and decided to hire a private chef for our first night, figuring we would be too tired to cook or go out for dinner. What a nice surprise, Chef Catalina was ready for us upon our arrival at the villa we rented with wine and appetizers while she got our luggage inside. She was also so sweet to make a quick grocery run for us while we unpacked! We haven’t even gotten to the dinner itself. It was impeccable. Everything was so fresh and she was such a delight to have with us for the evening. She also made sure one of our seafood-intolerant guests had some delicious pasta for dinner. We have only just started our La Herradura holiday and the bar was set high by Chef Cata. You won’t be disappointed!

Such a great Saturday spent with Cata at her cooking workshop! The menu was wonderfully varied and initially seemed quite intimidating, but under Cata's guidance I realized that not only was I going to to be capable of doing everything myself, but that I would easily be able to do it all in my own kitchen as well! Cata explained everything so well, gave great tips, and even let us know where she finds deals on the ingredients. It's was more than just a learning experience - it was a fun day! I will definitely be back!"

Chef Cata and her team were the star of the show of my bachelor party. She expertly and punctually prepared breakfast and dinners for 15 socially and culturally diverse men. Not only did she have a great story to go with the dishes every day, but she also made adjustments on the fly based on the subtle reactions of the attendees. It has been almost three weeks since the bachelor party, and people are STILL talking about the food quality. Cata is not only an amazing chef, but an engaging personality. She supplied amazing cuisine, a warm personality and professional execution that exceeded my expectations. If you have an opportunity to work with Chef Cata, take it. You and your guests will be absolutely delighted."

Cata gave us one of the highlights of our trip to Malaga. Her menu was incredible and she was happy to accommodate some specific requests like the seafood paella main course. The ceviche starter was talked about for days after! So good. Cata was really friendly and was happy to just crack on with preparation. She brought a waiter with her who served and cleared (and cleaned!). The kitchen was left cleaner than when they arrived. I couldn’t recommend Cata highly enough. 5 stars!

Cata made our grandad's 75th birthday Sunday lunch a very special experience. From the delicious different sauces and dips to the to perfection cooked meats - we had a lovely, enjoyable afternoon here in Málaga. Thank you, Cata!

We had so many amazing meals while traveling in Spain but the dinner Catalina provided was by far the best. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

Super Spanish cooking lesson by Cata. Russian salad, the best croquettes - ever!, ceviche and sea bass and red snapper. Far more confident with fish now.

We had a fantastic dining experience in Nerja with Catalina. The food was exquisite, the wine pairings were perfect and she was incredibly professional and friendly.

My husband and I rented a Villa in La Herradura and hired Catalina as a chef for several lunches and 6 dinners. She was by far the highlight of our trip to LH. Every meal of thoughtfully curated, extremely delicious and different from the one prior. I am pregnant so there are a few restrictions but Catalina was wonderful about making sure everything was safe for me to enjoy. Everything was tailored to us and we even got to experience authentic Spanish dishes in the way they were intended and new types of seafood we cannot get in NYC. If you are in the area, do not hesitate to have Catalina as your chef. She was so pleasant and fun to be around and the absolute BEST food we had during our entire trip to Spain.

Could not recommend Catalina enough. We rented a villa in Salobrena and booked her for a friends 40th Birthday. Her great personality made everyone at ease and her food was outstanding. We had the BBQ for main course and the pork was just delicious. Best meal we have had in spain 🙂
